It's funny how I feel like this is the same person isn't it? hahaha: NICOLE SMITH ...aka my PIC!
In my life I have defiently had times that have devastated me such as both of Granmothers passing away and then little things like not making the softball team in high school or being turned down for jobs right out of college. Me and my mother are best friends but she doesn't know EVERYTHING about me and her being in NY I rely VERY much on my best friends to get me through things. I went through probably the worst day of my life finding out news last year and my group of very close friends were right there for me the whole way but Nicole was there when i first found out the news. Anyone who has been through something tramatic knows that the person who is right there when you find out can either be the biggest help EVER or not help at all. And i truly would not have gotten through that week or 2 without Nicole!
Now about the ****** up things...I'm pretty sure anyone who knows Nicole gets into trouble when they go out sometimes! haha...The combo of her and i however (especially intoxicated) is not the best thing for society! haha... I'm not going to start listing things cause i'm not dumb and have a job but she always lives up to her nickname as my PIC (partner in crime)!! ..i love you bestie! :)

Day 8!

A picture that makes you laugh

I'm pretty sure there are countless pictures from college that make me die out laughing every time I see them but this one might take the cake!
I know it's not the best quality because it is a picture of a picture but this is NOT A JOKE! Me and all the Spring Breakers at the hotel witnessed Ludd and Bev do this fabulous dance contest! Ludd was one of the "Philly boys" that I had talked about in previous posts! And the older lady is Bev and she wouldn't tell us how old she was but we are guessing around 85! ...And yes that is one of her bathing suits she wore all week...usually they were sparkly and came with a sequin hat but this one was just hot pink! haha...The picture is pretty self explanatory and to people who weren't there and don't understand Bev then you might think this is gross but I'm not kidding i have NEVER laughed as hard as I was when this was going on! haha

Day 7!

A picture of your most treasured item

I own a punch of things that I consider to be "treasured items" such as my diploma from USC, pictures of my family & friends, a little bear that has "get well" written on it that i sent to my Grammie before she passed away, (its not really the same anymore) but for years i cherished the promise ring that my ex gave me when we were 17! But I would have to say that my most treasured item that I own would have to be my pearl necklace.
Coming down South it's kind of a given that every girl must have a go to pearl necklace & when i asked my mom for one she realized that after my Grammie had passed away that she had a regular set of white & black pearl necklaces. My family all agreed that I should get both sets and I am SOOO very thankful! Everytime I wear the necklaces I think of her and how a little piece of her is with me that day! Even though I have bought MANY a fake pair of pearl earrings I think it's time for me to get a real pair to match the necklace! :)

Day 6!

Okie so with this post PLEASE don't judge me! haha..I'm going to explain 2 different people that I would want to trade places with! The reason I'm talking about 2 is because one is someone I would want to trade places with in the past and the other is a woman who has me fascinated recently!

So the person I would want to trade places with but this is in the late 90's into the the early 2000's would have to be miss Britney Spears!! I know you are judging me right now but honestly I've wanted to be a singer my whole life and when i was younger she was my idol! I use to spend HOURS in my room or in the basement watching her music videos and recording all her concerts & performances and then teach myself her routines & sing into a hairbrush! haha...Miss Britney Spears and NSYNC were my life for MANY years! In the battle between Britney and Christina i ALWAYS backed Britney and yes Christina is a bit better vocally BUT as of right now i think Britney is still better then her and is on top...so as of right now i believe i am still right! haha...This is the Britney I looked up to and loved so very much:



I still love her today and root for her obviously but there was a time period (K-FED) where i thought she went right off the deep end and was never going to return! This is the Britney that I try to forget and hope that she never turns back into:



The other candidate for who I would want to switch places with recently would have to be Kyle Richards from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
I mean she is GORGEOUS and fabulous and when i watch the show I just day dream about what it would be like to be her! First off I can't imagine having that much money & living in a house like that in Beverly Hills. The other reason I would want to be her is that so many people living that lifestyle are fake but she seems very real, like an amazing mom, & also has a very handsome hubby who they seem to be so in love still. I think it would be interesting to step in her shoes for all these reasons pluys she is Paris Hilton's aunt so that I'm assuming would be interesting in itself! haha

Day 5!

A picture of your favorite memory

I have many amazing memories with my family & friends but I'm pretty sure one of my most favorites memories (especially of college life) has to be the Spring Break trip I took with the girls my senior year to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico! It started as 8 girls and ended in 7...no she didn't die but it's a long story! haha... Anyway it was 7 DZ's & Nicole actual sister and we had a BLAST!! Every night we had a pass to get into a different club and it was all you can eat and drink the whole weekend (all inclusive is truly the way to go!) And other then me getting my blackberry & entire purse including my credit card & some cash on the first night i rallied and had one of the best weeks of my entire life! Here is a picture of me and most of the girls on the last night!



Other then us having an absolute blast we met "The Philly Boys" who we still keep in touch with most of them today! I literally CANNOT imagine that trip without them and not meeting them in general! They have become very dear friends and are literally the funniest and most loyal boys you will ever meet! Here is a picture on the last night of the entire group right before the "Cruso de Boozo":



I couldn't be more happy that we decided to go on this trip...almost EVERY time we are all together a memory from this week comes up and we all bout die laughing! It was truly one of the greatest weeks of my life & I'm very lucky to have such great friends & to meet such great new ones! :)

Day 4!

Working in a events department definitely has its advantages and some disadvantages! I am NOT a morning person and I do get a little bored with the same schedule so having a crazy schedule that's different every week really does work for me. A disadvantage of my job is that during the busy season (Fall & the busiest is February-May) I am scheduled to work basically every Saturday and Sunday unless I ask for it off! My schedule gets a TONN more flexible & normal in the summer months which is great but this time of year i need to pick and choose my weekend activities wisely! Since I work right in the Vista though it usually works out where I can meet my friends out on a Friday or Sat night after i get off work as long as I don't have a early morning the next day...so that works out as well! I seriously LOVE my job so much and I'm SOO grateful to be working here and be working with co-workers that i LOVE!! So tonight is one of those weird nights and I am working 1pm-9pm so here is a picture of my night:

This is another tough one because like in my first post I said how much i LOVE television and I'm obsessed with a bunch of very embarrassing shows! But the one show that I look forward to SOOO much all week would have to be "Modern Family" on Wednesday nights at 9 on ABC!


This show I believe is one of the funniest comedy show to come out in YEARS and I'm not kidding that i literally laugh out loud every week! My favorite characters would have to be Phil and of course the gay couple Cameron and Mitchell. I LOVE Phil because I just think he is hilarious and even though I would love to think of marrying someone like that who would always make me laugh i have a feeling it would become a lot like Claire! And the gay couple is just hilarious because I think "gay" humor is hilarious and I don't think they could play the parts any better!

Side Note: I love this picture but what made me laugh was "Lily" the little adopted girl is crying which I'm pretty sure is the only emotion I've ever seen out of her or her the other twin who plays the part. They usually look like they are sedated! haha

Day #2 -
A picture of you and the person you have been closest with the longest

This one is kind of hard because of course the people most there for me for the longest is my family...but let's be honest with this challenge you are going to be seeing many pictures of them. Ive had a bunch of friends where I grew up in Westchester and one in particular named Cristina who we were basically the same person and she truly got me through all those years of elementary school. We stay in touch through facebook and have seen each other a couple times since 8th grade but distance and just growing up in general is hard but I do love her to death & I know if I needed her she would be there! I also LOVE all my friends from HS that I keep in touch with but when i think of a friend who I've been so close with for so long it probably has to be Kelly!!



Above is a picture of me and her from my high school Graduation from JJ in '05! We met in 8th grade when i transfer ed to St. Columba from my old Catholic School and I knew NO ONE! I sat next to her in class and the rest was history! She has gotten me through a ton in 8th grade and always made me feel welcome and we stayed close all throughout hs and it was such a help having each other because going from Catholic School your whole life to Public School in HS is not so easy! haha ..We are actually 2 VERY different people in many ways but we mesh SOOO well and I feel like we totally balance each other!
Kelly is an AMAZINGGGG ballet dancer who went to college at Marymount Manhattan in NYC for dance and right now lives in Long Island and commutes to the City to try out for companies and in the mean time she teaches dance to little ones! She has a huge heart and also is gorgeous and has a body that you would kill for! I love you so much Kelly and thank you for always being there for me...and I know you always will! :)

30 Days of Photos

Ok so I've seen people doing this on Facebook and so i figured I would try it out and hopefully this will get me to blog everyday (or almost everyday)! It's called the 30 Day Photo Challenge and so I'm going to do Day 1 today! Enjoy & feel free to do the challenge as well! :)

Day #1:


10 Things About Myself:
1.) I am originally from upstate New York! Born in Chappaqua, NY...raised in Cortlandt Manor, NY (Westchester County)...and since 8th grade and currently where my family lives is Hopewell Junction, NY (Dutchess County)! I'm very proud to say that I am a Roman Catholic, 3/4 Irish & 1/4 Italian, from NY! :)

2.) Family is SOOO very important to me! My mom is one of my best friends, my Dad is amazingg and always treats me like a Princess, I have 2 little brothers (17 & 13) whom I love very much and love watching them grow up! Also my grandparents are my world (even though only my Pops on my Mom's side is still with us). And I can't forget all my aunts, uncles, and cousins whom I love and encourage me everyday!

3.) I do like hanging out with guys but I'm pretty much a girls girl and I love and appreciate all my girlfriends SOO very much! This is one of the reasons I joined Delta Zeta in college and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made!

4.) I love and I'm obsessed with anything to do with babies & pregnancy (I know this will scare away any male) but its true! My mom is a twin and all I've ever wanted was twins! But we will see what God's plan is for me and I gotta find a man first! haha

5.) I'm totally addicted to television! I love probably all the weirdest shows ever including Swamp People, Wife Swap, Teen Mom, Real Housewives of (wherever)!

6.) I am a die hard Yankees Baseball fan (yes I will marry Derek Jeter)! and of course I'm a die hard SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS fan...I just love them and we're starting to get sooo good at so many different things! GOO COCKS!

7.) I work as an Event Coordinator at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center and I couldn't love my job or the people I work with anymore then I already do! I already new my major wouldn't bring me in millions but I honestly don't care because i LOVE what I do! :)

8.) I grew up singing all the time in Church every Sunday and at school and I believe I do have a good voice but i have AWFUL stage fright and FREAK out now even when i have to sing in front of one person!

9.) I HATE the entire breed of dog "Akita's"...I had one kill my little Yorkshire Terrier when i was 6 and then recently one attacked and jumped on my Sheltie. So attention these dogs are the evil and if one ever approaches me or any more of my dogs they will regret it! :)

10.) My favorite kinds of music include Hip Hop, Country, & Pop. SOO random I know but I think it suits me perfectly of where I'm from and where I am now!

2011 = ALL NEW!

So I know I'm a little late on all this but I have had alot going on! haha ..With 2011 now being here and lots of changes happening I am trying some new things & trying to overall change for the better! Here are my 3 "resolutions" if you want to call them that!

1.) I know everyone says "lose weight" and yes that's I guess the overall goal of my first resolution but to me its more about being healthier and feeling better about myself! I seriously LOVE food and I can't help it...Ive always ate whatever I wanted and my metabolism has been great...but in recent years I can tell that my days of not caring at all what I ate are now up in flames OVER! haha...I'm not one of those people that is going to completely NOT going to eat what I want at all cause I am...I just want to start a "healthier lifestyle" rather then a crash diet! So I've been having great workout sessions at least 3 days a week and I am soon going to join the gym with my bestie so I can start classes again cause classes are REALLY what helps me! ..I'm honestly just waiting till February cause I don't want to deal with all of the New Years Resolution people (ironic huh?)! So portion sizes, gym, & healthier food options already has me feeling better! & I also signed up for a weightloss challenge at work and whoever loses the most BMI points wins an IPAD ...so that deff helps my motivation too!

2.) Being more social! I know if you know me you might think I don't need anymore motivation to do this but in public I want to be more open minded and make sure I go out at LEAST once a week which is usually what I do. As you know from previous posts I am single now after 7 years and mostly this "social" thing pertains to that! I basically just want to be the best me I can so when the right person comes along I am ready...and that they see me at the best I can be as well! Being single after 7 years has been pretty tough...I'm just not use to it and I frankly don't know how to "date" so I'm focusing on me now and in the mean time watch a lot of girly movies & reading lots of Nicholas Sparks to make up for this lack of in my life! haha ...I am very optimistic and I know everything will work out in due time! Basically the way I feel can be summarized in this one line from a Michel Buble song: "I might have to wait...I'll never give up...I guess it's half timing...& the other's half's luck, wherever you are...whenever it's right...you'll come out of nowhere & into my life"

3.) Better communication: Now if you really know me I KNOW your shaking your head on this one but what I mean is stay in better communication! I am the kind of friend that I DON'T need to talk to you ALL the time to know how good of friends we are BUT I just don't want the people I care about to feel that I don't care or I am ignoring them...just cause i feel that way doesn't mean they do. So I have been trying to make more of an effort to communicate with my friends & family more and let them know how i feel about them. I am very blessed and lucky and I hope they never think I don't care or I'm being rude. Cause I swear that is NEVER my intention (unless you're a creeper and I'm trying to ignore you)! haha

I also have been trying to do new things (or old things) for the new year that I enjoy to keep my self occupied & broaden my horizons!

*I have started reading again and I have actually read 4 books in the past 6 months and I am now reading "The Last Song" by Nicholas Sparks! Growing up I LOVED reading and I can do it rather quickly...I just am a very visual person and if there is something on TV I would rather do that. But I am enjoying reading ALOT!! and sidenote...if you are single I would reccommend Patti Stanger's (from Millionare Matchmaker)book! I got it for my mom for Christmas last year as kind of a joke and she loved it and now in my predicament i read it and LOVED it! :)
*Scrapbooking...My mom got me all the tools and stuff to start last year for Christmas casue I wanted to do one for college and so I have been looking through all my photos & things from college and I'm SOOO excited to get started on this! I just hope my OCD chills a little and my creative inner sorority girl will come out! haha
*Praying: I grew up Roman Catholic and went to Catholic School basically my whole life and now that I'm getting older I am SOO grateful for what I have and who I have and so I have been thanking God for everything and saying some prayers for my future. ...I also want to start going to Church on a more regular basis...need to start that soon!

Things Already on the Horizon for this Year:

1.) I am currently searching for a new place to live come April and I loathe, distane, HATE kinda dislike the process but I know in the end it will be for the best. I am paying WAY to much in rent and I want to live closer to Columbia, my best friends, work, & the bars! haha...so stay tuned for that!

2.) A PUPPY! ...I can't stand it! I've always wanted a puppy and now I am the ONLY best friend without one and I need something to take care of that will love me back unconditionally and I need it NOW! I am doing my research and trying to save my $$ so hopefully around my birthday (June) I will have one or start actively searching for one. I just want to live in my new place and get one ASAP!

I also want to start being better with blogging so stay tuned & see what my progress is with that and with everything that I talked about! Hopefully I can keep up with everything! :) ...PEACE & BLESSINGSSS...

FOOTBALL FRIDAY!! the finale...

Okie so as I promised I have my "Football Friday Finale" which is a recap of USC Gamecock Football for this year! Wow seriously has it been an AMAZINGGGG year for us! It's always hard to end on 2 bad notes but everyone needs to look at what we've done this year & look at how far our program has come and all the firts we did (and will continue to do)! All our amazing players are just babies so we have time for them to get even better! So here is a recap of my Football 2010 ridicnesss...

UGA was my first Football Game this year and it was home! And like i said in my UGA pictures i seriously am scared LOVEEEE playing UGA every year! The fans are nothing but nice and it's a huge rivelry which basically sets up either team to win the SEC East Championship! This year Carolina came home with a BIG W (yet again) and we had a great time celebrating!!

Which then leads us to the best game ive ever been at/tailgate ive ever experienced in my life!! WE BEAT THE #1 TEAM (& NATIONAL CHAMPIONS) ALABAMA AT HOME!!! Seriously i can't even describe the feeling of this. Yes I may or may not have cried hysterically shed a tear! I couldn't help it...I was sooo proud of my boys & my school!! Rumor also is they are already talking smack & wanting us to play them at home so they can revenge this loss...i say ...BRING IT T TOWN!

Then came Halloween/Tennessee weekend. Not that many people in town as expected and it was a noon kick-off...bummer right?? Well not for me & my best friend...we seriously were ridic & had one of the craziest football nights yet..just us! hahahaha

And of course another first and one of the biggest games of the year was when we went INTO THE SWAMP & beat those GATORS to win the SEC EAST CHAMPIONSHIP!!! Seriously was sooo proud & honestly couldn't believe we did it & dominated!! & side note: yes me and my little went to William's Brice Stadium at 3:00am to welcome the boys back after the big win! :)

This year i also ventured to hell, cow country, redneckville, or Clemson as some people know it for the annual Clemson/Carolina battle for the Palmetto State title game! Now i honestly could write a book about this trip but then i would sound like a negative nancy! So for those few Clemson people that treated me amazing & had fun with me...THANK YOUUUUU I love y'all (old & new friends)and had fun (with y'all) that weekend. And obviously to all my Carolina fans I saw there...you were a breath of fresh air and i love y'all to pieces (especially Nicole, Cagle, & Megan). Now as for everyone else... seriously ew. I have never in my life been treated that bad by fans in my LIFE! Even though you tried...you DID NOT ruin my weekend...but rather confirmed my suspicion that i did go to the superior school & I forever will vomit at the sight of orange! Also THANK YOU for making that Tiger beat down even more sweet (even though it didn't really matter for us). Can't wait till you are on my turf next year so i can payback the wonderful hospitality i was shown! :) GOOO COCKSSSS!!
**Ps...PLEASE don't be offended by this comment...I of coursee don't mean that all Clemson fans are awful and there are many who are sweet as pie to me..I was just frustrated and honestly shocked about the way we were treated...I get VERY excited to meet new fans and make new friends and i think i was just more disappointed & let down by the way things went down!

Then came my first trip to Atlanta for the SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!! I seriously couldn't have been more excited to have a mini reunion & just be in the city!! As you well know the game was not our best but i still am SOOOOO proud of my boys for getting into the Championship & also even though i loathe Cam Newton...he's an amazingggg player and we couldn't stop him. period. All that $$ Auburn payed was worth it (if they did) and i waish we had the $$ to buy him! haha. Overall a greatttt weekend with my ATL loves! :)

Last game of the season was NEW YEARS EVE in Atl...yess i went back..i had too! haha... we had a great weekend with my second family but honestly the game was hard to be at/watch! I had a bad feeling cause no matter who we play in bowl games we always seem to do that but I have faith for next year! I also appreciate the fact of being in ATL & the whole weekend! Lots of memories & it was a great place to ring in the new year! :)

So I am already looking forward to next year!! which includes an away game in Athens ( always a ridic time), home vs. Florida, our first game in Panthers Stadium, & of course our rematch vs. Auburn (minus Scam Newton)!

Another issue is the Championship Game on Mondy! I'm sorry but i'm gunna have to say that idk how verbal im going to be but i HAVE to root for Auburn...I mean they are the SEC...everyone i know from there is awsome, & they were my 2nd fav team! So im going for my league(the best)...so GOOO SEC & WAR DAMN EAGLE!! :)
